50,000+ words before the 22nd of November. I would like to say my brilliance was the cause, but I’m going with honesty.
I planned and kept to my scheduled writing time. I had no choice. I host Thanksgiviscreen-shot-2016-11-20-at-8-33-42-pmng for family and can’t write for a few days around the event. There’s just too much to do. I averaged less than 500 words a day the last few days. I didn’t even have time t
o write a post and brag that I completed the challenge. This is my second year and my second completion so I do feel good about that.

50,000 words is not a complete novel for me, but it’s a great start. If you’ve thought about NaNoWriMo but haven’t gotten around to participating, you should. Plan now to join NaNoWriMo 2017 and see what you can accomplish in a month.
