Not My Normal Hike

Normally, when I hike, I’m on a mountain trail or in the deep woods. This hike was at the beach, near Fort Fisher, North Carolina. Hiking at the beach is flat which has a certain charm. It also has wind-blown trees from the breeze off the water, rocks with moss/algae, pools of water to explore in search of shells and coral, and of course, sand. A lovely hike on a long weekend.
